NPT and Metric fittings are widely used in automotive applications; however, metric fittings repeated servicing will require replacing a washer to ensure that it does not leak and NPT fittings are not intended for repeated servicing. HPS AN to NPT / Metric adapter fittings converts your female metric threads or NPT threads ports to AN style fitting for easy, repeated serviceability. AN style fittings can be installed and removed many times without using any additional sealants or gaskets. HPS AN to NPT/Metric adapters are made from 6061 aluminum and Type II anodized black to provide improved abrasion and corrosion resistance.
